If you have time to create a study guide of your own, then please do so. Only you truly know yourself and what you need to write down to review. However, many comprehensive NCLEX reviews are hundreds or even thousands of pages long and like I, many students do not have time to sit down and create a study guide review.
An anonymous student created a 97 pages study guide that is broken down into the following categories:
- Cardiovascular
- Gastrointestinal
- Liver
- Respiratory
- Musculoskeletal
- Nervous system
- Integumentary
- Urinary
- Immune system
- Endocrine
- Neonatal/Pediatric
- Vaccine
- STD
- Pharmacology
- Reproductive
- Cultural
- Communication
- Cancer
- Electrolytes & Fluids
- Pre-op & Post-op
- Hospice
I am going to assume that because you are looking for a study guide, you have already reviewed the NCLEX materials over, but do not have the time to reread the chapters. For $50, someone has already saved you the time and created a study guide that consists of rationales from Kaplan and Saunders, for you to use.
Testimonials say they used only this study guide to pass the NCLEX. If you do use this study guide, I would recommend setting time aside to read 5 pages per day on top of your practice questions.
Disclaimer: I did not write this study guide. I just used it to pass the NCLEX in 75 questions and decided to honor the student’s efforts.
