Needles are universal so no matter where you go in the United States, the needle sizes will correlate with colors. Know that the larger the number, the smaller the needle will be. An 18 gauge needle would be larger than a 25 gauge needle.
Remember your safety precautions when handling needles! As busy as you can be on your unit, do not rush medication preparations. It is not worth your safety!
